About this place
A comfortable evening at Nakamura in Osaki begins with nibbling on a bit of fresh sashimi before seamlessly shifting over to nigiri when the timing feels right. In an unpretentious, relaxed atmosphere, diners can take their time over fish prepared with meticulous care.
Small plates to enjoy alongside drinks
One of the restaurant's distinct charms is its deep lineup of side dishes to explore before moving on to sushi. The menu features standards such as savory shutō (cured fish entrails) and refreshing squid tentacles dressed with lemon, alongside tender simmered octopus steeped in flavor and Nakamura's signature simmered-and-grilled conger eel. Other options include seared fatty tuna with ponzu and freshly prepared minced horse mackerel. During the winter months, warming chawanmushi packed with dashi and crunchy red sea cucumber in vinegar make seasonal appearances. To drink, there is draft beer alongside an appealing roster of sake, including Tateyama, Masumi, Kagatobi, and Shichida. These are available not only by the 1-go serving but also in 1 ml four-go bottles, providing dependable company for a lingering evening.
A choice of nigiri and an unhurried setting
For the main course, guests can select from tiered nigiri or chirashi assortments labeled Kiku, Sakura, and Tokujō, as well as donburi bowls like tekka-don (tuna rice bowl) and rolled sushi such as toro-tekka-maki or conger eel rolls. The intimate dining room features counter seating alongside tables, making it just as suitable for solo dinners as it is for pairs or small parties. With the focus primarily on dinner service and a limited number of seats, reserving ahead before your visit is recommended.
